The inimitable http://www.languagehat.com/ pointed us towards UCC’s Corpus of Electronic Texts, of which http://www.ucc.ie/celt/published/F250001-001/index.html just weirded me out. An epic poem in Old French, about Ferns and people called Kencelath (or Kinsella, as it gets spelled nowadays), Divelin, Obrien, Prendergast, fiz Gerout. Not a location that today would strike anyone as very suitable for setting epic poems in Old French.
